REMEMBER THE PINK HOUSE, a poem

​Now, each time you drive by
No welcome to Plum Island, appears to the eye.
 
Where once, local history stood to greet you
Now, there is emptiness.
 
For 100 years in this community
It drew a smile from passersby
A Welcome nod, along that last mile.
 
The inspiration, the chatter, the dreaming
It all mattered, to those who truly care.
 
Within the big hearts of the old and the young
The magic - captured them all.
 
The Story is still to be told
About unity inside a community that values its history.
 
Remember The Pink House
Forevermore.
 
Those who fought to save it
Those who did not.
